Amsterdam 750 Highlights Tour.
In 2025, Amsterdam will officially celebrate its 750 years of existence.
We will start this day tour at your hotel or apartment and will drive through and pass by typical Amsterdam destinations like the Unesco World Heritage Canals District,
Museumplein, with its famous museums, like Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and
Stedelijk Museum (Urban Modern Art).
Shopping districts and streets like P.C. Hooftstraat, The 9-Streets District, Dam Square,
The Red Light District, The Royal Palace, Amsterdam Central Station, Anne Frank House
Museum, The Jewish District, National Maritime Museum.
We will stop several times at interesting poi’s for pictures.
Countryside and Windmills
After the Amsterdam City Tour, we will discover some of Amsterdam's surroundings during a countryside ride.
We will visit the famous windmill village of Zaanse Schans, with its still active windmills, which produce timber oils from seeds, etc.
An interesting workshop is the wooden shoes (clogs) demo at one of the farms.
Discover typical hot ‘Dutch Stroopwafels’ at the Bakery Museum.
Find out why, in this region, the typical green wooden houses were popular.
Volendam
After the windmills, we will visit the fishermen’s town, Volendam, which is built on the shores of the former ‘Zuiderzee’ which is nowadays named ‘IJsselmeer’.
Visit the lively dike with its restaurants, terraces, and, of course, the shopping street.
After Volendam, we will return to your hotel in Amsterdam.
