This private, guided tour will start at your hotel in Amsterdam at 7.00 a.m. We will drive by car to Aalsmeer, 25 km. south of Amsterdam, where we will pay a visit to the world’s largest flower auction ‘Royal Flora Holland’, which is also the largest trade building in the world.
We will explain about the selling system, the so called ‘Dutch Auction’ and we will be able to see the distribution of flowers and plants.
We will also pay a visit to a wholesale center, where florists from Holland and surrounding countries are able to buy their smaller quantities of flowers, plants and floral supplies.
After this visit to the flower auction, we will start driving to the eastern part of Holland, to Giethoorn.
When we arrive in Giethoorn, we will start a guided general canal cruise of 1 hour on the narrow canals in the village and on the lake behind the village.
After the cruise, we will stop for lunch in the village along one of the canals. There are several cosy restaurants of which we can choose from.
After lunch, we will start a walking tour through the village on the pathways along the canals.
We can visit galleries, boutique shops, etc.
We will walk safely, because unlike Amsterdam, there are no bikes and cars allowed here.
Around 3.00 p.m., we will start driving back to Amsterdam, where we will arrive around 4.30 p.m.
