Amstel river and windmill visit
On this tour, we will start from your hotel in Amsterdam and drive out of Amsterdam along River Amstel, which has beautiful nature and farmland scenery. We will stop at a windmill to take pictures of the windmill next to the statue of painter Rembrandt.
We will also pass by some country houses from the 'Golden Century' of Dutch prosperity (17th century) when wealthy traders from Amsterdam built their summer houses along rivers like Amstel and Vecht.
River Vecht
After driving along River Amstel, we will drive southeast to the River Vecht region.
The River Vecht is regarded as the most beautiful river in The Netherlands. We will start our tour along the river at the little historic town of Loenen aan de Vecht.

Private, guided lunch

After a quick stop for pictures, we will head to where the salon boat awaits us. At 11.00 a.m., the captain will await you at his salon boat for a private lunch cruise (just you and your family or friends) along River Vecht, passing by the gorgeous country houses and estates from the 'Golden Century,' built by wealthy Amsterdam traders. The most beautiful gardens have hydrangeas flowering all summer along the river. The lunch cruise will take 2 hours. During the cruise, you will pass by the town of Breukelen.
In 1646, immigrants from Breukelen created a new village in America, eventually known as Brooklyn, New York.
After Breukelen, the boat will continue to pass by the Castle estate 'Nijenrode,' a business university nowadays. After Nijenrode, the boat will return to where you started the cruise; the guide and car will be waiting for you at 1.00 p.m.
Lunch will include :
Luxury sandwiches, fruit salad, and coffee and tea.
If you would like, the captain will provide alcoholic beverages like wine, champagne, etc. In that case, additional costs will be charged at the end of the cruise.
Gardens and Castle De Haar
After the cruise, the tour will continue towards 'Castle De Haar,' where we will visit the gardens (135 acres) and pay a visit to the part of the castle, which is open to the public.
After this visit to the castle, we will return to your hotel.
