Flower auction
Our private tour will start around 7.00 in the morning.
We will drive south of Amsterdam to Aalsmeer, where the largest flower auction of the world 'Royal Flora Holland' is located.
Distribution
We will explain about the auctioning system and what the influence of internet has become on the sales of flowers and plants.
We will visit the distribution areas for flowers and plants.
Wholesale center for florists
Apart from the auction, where wholesale exporters buy larger quantities of flowers and plants, there is also a commercial wholesale center for florists that need small quantities of flowers and plants.
We can visit it if your are interested in this part of the flower business.
After the flower auction, we will start driving to the eastern part of Holland, to Giethoorn
Giethoorn
After approx. 75 minutes by car, we will reach Giethoorn.
We will do a guided canal cruise (not private) of 1 hour on the canals in Giethoorn and on the nearby lake.
Then it is time for lunch and we can choose from a range of restaurants, all along the canals.
When a cosy lunch has finished, we can walk along the 'usually' busy canals with lots of private boats.
Around 3.00 p.m., we will start driving back to Amsterdam, where we will arrive around 4.30 p.m.
