Flowering bulb fields
This private, guided tour starts at your hotel in Amsterdam. The tour will take us to the flowering bulb fields with Daffodils, Hyacinths, Tulips, etc, south of Amsterdam.
At the flowering bulb fields, we will stop several times to take pictures of you and your relatives or friends between the endless seas of flowers.
Keukenhof
After the tour through the fields, we will pay a visit to Keukenhof park. With its 80 acres of design gardens, it inspires visitors to start changing their own gardens at home. Every year, new varieties of Tulips, Daffodils, etc. are shown to the public by the bulb hybridizers, growers and traders that participate in the park.
To visit Keukenhof park, we will need at least 3 hours, so please wear comfortable shoes!
Besides the beautiful outdoor gardens, there are also pavilions /greenhouses with
beautiful exhibitions showing:
- Bulbs ( Tulips, Daffodils, Hyacinths, Amaryllis, etc)
- Cut flowers (Roses, Gerbera’s Carnations, Lilies, Chrysanthemums, etc.)
- Potted plants (Orchid Phalaenopsis, Anthurium, Hydrangea, etc.)
For children there are playgrounds, an animal farm, a pond with fountain, etc.
Windmills
After Keukenhof we will start driving to the region north of Amsterdam and we will visit the famous Windmills village ‘Zaanse Schans’. On the way down there, we might stop for a late lunch (not included).
In this authentic village, you can not only find Windmills, but also a clog farm, a cheese farm, authentic wooden houses painted in the original green colors of this region and of course restaurants and shops.
After this visit we will return to your hotel in Amsterdam.
