Flower auction

Our guided tour commences at your hotel at 6.30 a.m.
We will then drive to Aalsmeer, where flower auction 'Royal Flora Holland' is based.

Royal Flora Holland Aalsmeer is the world's largest trade building, and more than 14.000 people find jobs with the cooperative flower auction and at the flowers and plants wholesale companies.
The auction is divided into 2 sections, one for cut flower distribution and one for plants.
We will head for the cut flower department, where we will visit the cold storage, where Peony cut flowers are stored at night before the auction starts.
After that, we will look at the distribution of cut flowers (Peonies, Roses, Sunflowers, etc. ).

Wholesale center for florists and garden centers.

After the auction visit, we can visit a commercial wholesale center that florists, e.g., can visit to buy their smaller volumes of floral supplies, plants, and cut flowers.
After this visit, we will drive to the town of Lisse.

Peonies

We will visit the annual peony flower show, where many cut flower varieties will be shown. Many growers will send in their varieties to show their quality to the visitors.

After this show, we can have lunch in a nice restaurant.
